A Day of conservation at Heyford Meadow

On Friday 15 May, our team enjoyed a brilliant office day out at Heyford Meadow helping support this remarkable wetland habitat.

We spent the day clearing scrub and nutrient-rich vegetation, creating habitat piles for wildlife, protecting nesting areas, and improving pond conditions for dragonflies and other species.

A huge thank you to Hannah at Oxford Preservation Trust and Rod for sharing their knowledge about the ecology of the meadow, fen habitats, and the importance of protecting these rare landscapes.

It was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the conservation of this special landscape while learning more about the vital role wetlands play in supporting biodiversity and nature recovery.
